A trip through Southern Utah inspired this work and was my return to clay after 30 years.  These pieces all begin as a solid block made up of layers of different clays.  After the block has dried it is eroded with water much like natural geologic processes.  The pieces are small, 4"-7" so the scale is reversed from the massive rock forms in nature.
